on caring...

So I got sick and tired of writing about how sick and tired I am. When I thought we were done we weren't. We caught another tummy bug, coughing and pink eye. I was up ALL last night with a barfing/coughing Grant. There it is. BUT I in no way have it bad. I am moved to tears today for reasons that are not my own. I need to be more thankful.

SO I just wanted to write about all those who have made my life happier this last month!

1st of all My moms!!

My Mom for all the babysitting!

Grace Ann S. for babysitting and a super tasty beef stew and volunteering at the wedding!
My Aunt Cathy for an AMAZING chicken and rice dinner!!! so good!
Bishop Dahl for caring and visiting!
Bro Patino for his God sent council and visit!
Trisha and Robert W. for visiting when we were in the hospital and for all the phone calls, the nail painting, the puppy, the Ned's sub.

I am so THANKFUL for all of you who leave kind words and generally make my life happier and ease my burdens in hard moments! You do so much and set good examples of serving others for me. THANK YOU!

Let's not ever forget about how much good can come from small simple acts.

I'd like to leave you with the LDS recent press release:
22 January 2010
The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued the following statement today:

Our hearts are filled with sadness as we have watched the suffering in Haiti in the wake of the devastating earthquake.
We turn to the example of Jesus Christ, who reached out to “lift up the hands which hang down” and “strengthen the feeble knees.” We are keenly aware that many in America are dealing with economic challenges caused by the recession. However, we are appealing to members to donate to Church Humanitarian Services as their means allow in order to help our Haitian brothers and sisters. Many have already contributed and others are anxious to do so.
Money is not the only need in Haiti. People are frightened, bewildered, and wholly uncertain about their future. In addition to what people can do in helping with food, water, and shelter, there needs to be a calming influence over that troubled nation. We invite our people everywhere to supplicate God for a spirit of calm and peace among the people as urgent aid and reconstruction efforts continue.
