Here is what I viewed as I opened the front door.... Wall papper on every surface, peeled back to reveal mold, dirty Orange shag carpet with the bonus of you guessed it, more mold. After everything was stripped out we slept in this room for a while. The skylight was a sorce of annoyance every morning around 5 am.
The cat room as we called it was covered in a lion/cheetah wall paper that proved to be a beast to remove. The cat curtain was actually someones old blanket which was now crunchy due to years of sun exposure. We were not sure if the cat room was "Alive" or not because the floor was covered in bird feathers which could have been thier last meal...
Now I'm just gonna skip to the master bedroom.... as you can see by the squares on the wall, previous occupants smoked just a bit, and though the carpet was no longer orange shag, it was absolutely unsaveable. Just for fun they left us an old sofa in here...
This bathroom fixture cracked me up because lets face it, it was a total gotcha! It was so eaten and corroded If you went to wash up and turned it on too much it showered you in the middle and made you look like you wet you pants.
The addition including the addition of thier furniture left for us..

More furniture left for us in the backyard and weeds higher than my head. Oh, look a pond!
And that folks is where we started from. I like to see that everytime I think I have accomplished nothing. Now I'm motivated!
