Abby was sooo scared to go down this slide and so not to let her get away with thinking a few tears will spare her from growing up I ventured back today w/ Gabrielle in tote to make that girl go down that stinkin' slide.
Now I know what you may be thinking here but my dear sweet Abigail is the kind of girl who has to be forced to do something once and then she gets it and even owns it. I'm not about to allow her to think that fear should stop her from doing the things she WANTED to do in life.This was no different from all the other moments that have taught me just how to deal with her. She cried at first only as she was comming out of the water....then started laughing as we gave her the high 5's and then after about 2 minutes she got back in line and kept going on it the entire rest of the time.
Every time she got out of the water to get back in line she walked all "proud" of her self...
Too funny!
So now she owns it!
I may be mean but the happy confident little girl that she is now makes me feel like being mean really isn't so mean.. it's just the process of learning...
Go figure!

It's not mean.... it's a "mom thing"... hard to realize sometimes that we are doing it for their and our own good! We don't want them hanging on forever!!!
