Sing It With Me!
Shout, shout, let it all out these are the things I could do without.....
oopps, wrong song...
La La La La,
OOH,
On the 4th day of Christmas my true love gave to me;
4 sickos sitting, 3 screaming children, 2 lonely hearts and a bee sting near the christmas tree!
Wow that song was a real downer but I need to explain....
Normally ours is like a Christmas Eve Special worthy of any TV program. We have the nativity with kids dressed up, Luke 2 readings and many wonderful songs preformed with voice and piano. We have a huge feast with tons of treats, games and lots of dancing, lots of silly dancing especially to the family favorite "Santa Claus is coming in a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train..." naturally with the speakers booming.
BUT...My life is all about just feeling sick right now and then you add a few dashes of "Bummed out" and now you become a Grinch.
Let's see here, my mom has been Very Sick since Thanksgiving, my dad was pretty sick too. Tres was also Very Sick. Trisha was alone because her husband had to sing (for money, like too much to turn down) in like 3 different places till 1am that night. Bonnie and Jacob are on far away missions. There was no organization for any type of program because it was all I could do just to put together dinner with out hurling.
Then the cherry on top was that Grant stepped on a dead bee magically next to the Christmas tree of coarse and stung himself good. It's sheer madness I tell you!

Trisha tried to save the night with getting all the kids (minus Grant) to march in the song of the March of the Toy Soldiers by Harry Conick jr.
But then, My Dad and Mom left early and we just sat there wondering who had enough energy to put the presents under the tree.
Trisha and I just ended up after everyone had gone to bed making the best of it by talking till 1am and laughing at any old funny story we could think of from years gone past.
Bonnie called the next day and said her Christmas was really depressing as well.
I will say this, if you don't have a "bummer one" once in your life you'll never appreciate what a miracle it is to have all the fun and festivities go so well all these years.
And so, next year will be different, Bonnie will be here, a new baby will too, and I have 365 days to plan it out, make it fun and sow those seeds of love!!
Here's to a Happy New Year!
CHEERS!
