Instant party, just add kids....as long as your at the Funhouse Camp Grounds!

So this Thursday we had planned to go camping because it's fall break. We didn't and thought maybe we'd do something else fun for the kids. Then this morning we got the news that our neighbors had to cut short a trip to Disneyland never even setting foot in the park due to a family emergency. So Tres and I decided that we'd do a backyard camp out and invite the neighbors. But Zack also wanted a few others to come so we let him invite them when they came by thinking well they probably all won't come. We were delighted to be wrong! Colton, Jared, Kaley, Auston, Ben, Bella, Jasmine, Alexis and our 3 kids! We now have 11 kids camping out!!

Now when I said above "Delighted" you probably thought I was being sarcastic, and usually you'd be right, but not this time. Growing up one of my goals was to be the "Fun house" and have lots of fun stuff for kids and just make my house a place that everyone wanted to go. (That's the only reason we still have that behemoth pool table...) My sister in law, Sage has always been good at this and by golly It's my turn to follow in her footsteps.

So, good thing that that our new "Swiss Army" tent is HUGE! It's like a cavern! The best part is that you don't have to bend over in it. We roasted marshmallows for smores, ate 6 pizzas and watched movies, played, ran around, the boys wrestled, took turns telling stories (mostly about crazy dreams) and then finally fell asleep about 2am. I am still up making sure everyone is really asleep so I'm blogging to pass the time. I finally went out there and shut the TV off and wham they were all asleep in 10 minutes.

So what was the key to getting them off to sleep? Well, just say "I'm gonna stand here till you all fall asleep. You don't have to go to sleep but you can't talk and you need to keep your head on your pillow. " The 10 minutes went by pretty fast. Bella held out till the last two minutes and then she was out cold just like her best friend Kaley who was snoring like a bear.

Ah yes so It's morning now and after Pancakes they are playing pool and telling me that they all had a great night sleep and were making plans to carve some pumpkins.
