OK,
so here's what I've been up to. It's hard to finally admit that yes I did make a new years resolution. What is this resolution you say? What goal of lofty grandeur and virtue has my sights been locked upon? Well, I am very careful to say it: to be healthy. Those 3 words are the annoying gnat that have buzzed incessantly in my ear for years! Finally this last summer I made the promise that come the new year I would mend my ways or die trying. The change of heart has been humbling, humbling enough for me to say loudly, "I'm tired of being tired!" "I want to be able to be there for my kids and not be out of breath!"

~Also let's not forget that Bonnie has sent a real precedence for me. She has lost 40 lbs so far. She is my heroine for that because she did it slowly and did it right. I have only been doing it since 11th of Jan but already have lost 9 lbs. I am amazed at how much food I had consumed and water ignored before I decided to change my lifestyle forever. (I personally believe that it has to be a complete change no lot's wife stuff.) The best website that I found and get real satisfaction from is www.my-calorie-counter.com And, no it's not all about calories because that is only one of many variables to your health. There are tons of charts and graphs and lists of thousands of foods and their contents.
Every tool from BMI calculators to target lists, and daily logs.
Then also of coarse there is working out 6 days a week for one hour at Bally. Trisha, Sarah, my mom, Bonnie and I signed up for $14 down and $20 a month on a month to month basis no contract. It was a great deal and showed me that this must have been the right time to care about my future. So there you have it and now I have purposely made an obligation to you that I will not give up the daily battle. And so since I'm a poetry enthusiast I'll leave you with the last verse of a favorite poem calledThe Passing of the Year
by Robert W. Service
My pipe is out, my glass is dry;
My fire is almost ashes too;
But once again, before you go,
And I prepare to meet the New:
Old Year! a parting word that's true,
For we've been comrades, you and I
--I thank God for each day of you;
There! bless you now! Old Year, good-bye!
