Well we went down to the "Goldfield Mine" ghost town which you see on the side of the road on your way to Canyon Lake. We had fun. We took the train ride and the mine tour. It was a bit hot but there was a nice breeze. The kids were pretty tired so we didn't get to stay long. We did learn some wierd facts about this area. Like the story of the Lost Dutchman's mine. Actually he was a german. He said "Spreken sie deutsch" and all the miners thought he was saying "I speak dutch". Also over 70 people dies tring to find the treasure. They freaked us out by telling about how some of the people were in fact found beheaded. What also freaked me personally out was how at every turn you came face to face with a wax figure kinda distorted by the heat! You'd like open a door and AAAAA!
