Here is a old photo of our two little Abby's. Mine and My cousin Heather's. Her husband's name is Zack and they told us if we name another kid after their family they will start charging us royalties. :)
On April 29, 2006 their four-year-old daughter suffered a stroke while swinging and fractured her skull. They started a blogspot: http://delta170.blogspot.com/ She is such a beautiful little girl. She is strong and improving a lot. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with their family as they get through the many months of therapy ahead. We love you.
So far we have been happy to see the progress and they said : We feel as though we've been taken to the brink of something terrible, dangled over the edge for a few weeks to experience what it would be like, and then mercifully (and quickly) pulled back to the relative comfort and ease of our prior state..
To a much lesser degree I can share the same feelings expressed. When Zack was about 2, he suffered and auto immune attack on his body. His own immune system attacked his body, mostly his joints in his legs. As mysteriously as it happened it left. The days in hospital stay seemed interminable and frightening then, but is now a distant memory. Knowing how bad it could have been, I thank the Lord daily for our health and try to remember those who are not so fortunate. The power of the priesthood to heal is real and tangible. The only variables are do we believe and is it God's will.
The gospel is beautiful.
