We invited some extra families and had a fun "Family Home Evening" at the park. We call it this as it's kind of a Mormon thing but really it can be for all families. It's about taking one night out of your week to spend time with your family and teach a principle of what you believe. We members of The Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints typically hold them on Monday nights.
Tonight's topic was about sportsmanship.
So we had lots of team mates come join up!!
We had a picnic and i brought the baby bunnies for all the kids to hold and see....nothing to do with sportsmanship but more to do with keeping smaller kids occupied. Now it was time for a lesson. It's ok to win and loose. Be happy for those who win, try try again and don't boast and brag when you win. It's all about working hard and having fun!
Here's the games: Cornhole!! Very similar to the game horse shoes.
We had a blast...but not everyone. Abby wasn't feeling so hot and barfed in the parking lot. I think the combo of; lots of food, a headache, and running around, just did her in. Poor thing. By the time we got home she was looking better though. ;-P
