Hi there,
The big day has come and gone. We had a special prayer and blessing the night before. The next morning before I was ever going to be "ready" an anesthesiologist said "Goodnight" and I was being sliced, sawed and drilled on. I spent 3 days in ICU. Blind, puking up blood and in a lot of pain. -->sorry gross.
I know it sounds bad and that's because it was. When I could finally see again I saw someone I didn't know staring back at me. It was scary and very odd, I had no feeling to much of my face and I still don't. My jaw muscles were cut through so it hurt to talk.
I was told the tumor had weirded the surgeons out because it plopped out really easily and was unnaturally bright white. The 6-8 hour surgery was only 3 hours because of this wonderful turn. I wasn't shocked by that. When I saw the picts it looked just how I had envisioned. odd huh?
My head was shaved a bit more than what I had thought too and huge clumps coming out in a shower was not something I had esxpected either.
Well, I made it through and Just arrived home yesterday evening. I can't yet go up stairs or bend down to pick things up but I feel better with each day. My face still doesn't look like my own and I'm hoping with time it will.
My life and out look has been dramatically changed. I am so thankful for my life and what
I have. Thank you for all your prayers and help!!
Sadly, Melody woke up today in a full blown asthma attack and fever. We are hoping that she will get through this on her own, she seemed fine yesterday. Please pray for her so we can just get through this crazy summer.

Finally some news! I've been thinking and praying for you, as has the entire Encinas Ward! You are quite the topic of conversation. We have all been concerned for you and your sweet family. So happy that your surgery was short and has been reported as successful! :) Thank you for the update on your blog. I will continue to pray for your quick recovery, and for your sweet Melody... and wonderful husband and family! Love you!
Glad you are doing well... prayers for Melanie!
So good to see that you have been blessed! WoW... weird about the tumor! I envisioned it to be roundish and white too... Heavenly Father does have outstanding works doesn't he?!!!
Take it wayyyy slow! We know that Tres and the family will take good care of you... but you have to take good care of you too!
