We had Scare, but were still kicking!

Melody has pneumonia right now and Kaden is croupy so we are watching them closely.
A few nights ago Melody had a "tremor" from the albuterol she's been taking. I have never seen a baby seize up all her muscles before so we called 911 as Tres gave her a quick blessing....the episode was over before fire could arrive. She was happy and cooing so I'm sure the medics were a bit perturbed but I was thankful she was ok. Her heart rate was a wee bit fast and she is wheezing badly but we were advised that as long as we keep an eye on her 100% we could wait to see her pediatrician as soon as they opened. So we go back to bed...just in time for Kaden to come barf all over the bed....oye! *sigh*

Anyways,

We had a doctor appointment today, and it just so happened that we got to see Uncle Tyler and McKenna because we have the same doc. That was fun! So, the doc put Melody on a lower dose but she isn't responding very well to the breathing treatments. My hope is that she will pull through on her own, she's a tough little cookie. We will not hesitate to take her to the hospital if she gets a fever, gets blue lips or start breathing rapid and shallow and all of that zillion things to look for. I know what it looks like because my brother Ben nearly landed in ICU for his bout with this! Going to the hospital is HORRIBLE! Both Zack and Abby have had to be hospitalized for a few days, I NEVER want to go through it again!! Seriously NEVER, unless I must.

So, On another medical note, my thumb is WAY infected!! Wierd huh? It started off as a hang nail and now it's like taking over my hand!! It is sooo painful!! 2 weeks is too long to deal with it and when anyone so much as brushes by I want to die!! I've got an appointment coming up but it seems like all the doctors are being slammed right now. And since I'm complaining about pain... my back took me aside today and told me that it's getting ticked off about all the holiday treats I've had. Nice back...real subtle!
Anyhoo,
This is basically my whine-fest so don't worry about us too much. My Aunt Cathy made us dinner for tonight and so far Tres and I are making it through all the craziness one step at a time...although for a moment it got fun while we ran out of toilet paper!!! Yikes! Grant totally had to use 2 winnie the pooh napkins!! Too funny huh!!
I just want to say how thankful I am for my family, friends and neighbors who are crouching around ready to spring into action. My neighbors just about had a heart attack themselves when they saw all the firetrucks and such here the other night! Sorry guys! They all came over the next day to ask what happened...now how could I live anywhere else??
