I decided that the time had come to get Zack's vision tested after the teacher suggested it twice. Surely a son of my 20/15 vision couldn't possibly have any seeing problems... I mean he hasn't walked into any walls... lately...
And so the test began... I was confident...after all he had his vision tested before he went to kindergarten....
And yet....I am shocked to learn that his lineage of 3 grandparents with glasses has made it's way down through the gene pool to my first born... Dang it! He will need them for anything past 10 feet so no wonder he was always squinting at the blackboard. Poor kid! All that matters is that he can see better now!
I woke up to reality and scheduled Abigail for the same procedure the same time we pick up the final product.... meanwhile Zack's eyes took like 4 hours to become normal! The dilation drops made him look SUPER CREEPY! Abigail won't have to go through that because I opted for the $30 picture instead after this....
But he's still my Joe cool!

He looks good with glasses!
I was so blind in jr high that I had to sit on the floor in the front of the classroom about 3 feet away from the blackboard before my parents finally took to me to the optometrist. I wasn't that blind in grade school, although it crept up on me gradually I think. My one word of advice is this: if he wants contacts, just let him have them. It is hard enough being a teenager without having to battle the parents about the cosmetics of glasses.
awe! i got glasses in 4th grade! Just remember...come 6th or 7th it's time for disposable contacts so he can get the ladies!...then of course glasses are sexy again once they turn 21...weird how that works! haha
