Oh What a Weekend!! What more can I say?!?

So I was supposed to take the kids to the Salt River Friday but the weather turned into an unusually super windy day! Even Dare I say BLUSTERY!

So we opted for Playtopia instead. It is right off of McQueen and Germann rd so it's actually closer to Holly than to me but the kids just LOVE this place!

Zack was telling the kids all the way there how he saw on my cousin's blog that there was a giant Gila monster there... and sure enough they found it. The dino dig area was really neat!

Kaden was laughing as the wind was blowing him away!

Grant loved the fire engine...

So then it was Saturday... GENERAL CONFERENCE!

We watched that and then we all headed off to the brand new Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center, which is not to be confused with the Mesquite Jr. High pool. (especially because this one off of Riggs and Lindsay... WAY OUT THERE!)

It was WAY worth it because they are open during certain days in March, April and May. The little kids loved that giant dump bucket which would dump about every 4 to 5 minutes 752 gallons of water on them... seriously it was huge! Click here to see what they got there.

Best part: kids are 50 cents Adults are $1.50. What a fun weekend!!

But Anyhoo,

~I really loved Conference and can't wait to reread them. ~

Who out there didn't just cry their eyes out over the story of the German born widow who was kicked out of Russia to travel with the kids back to her homeland about 1000 miles in late summer, and then to lose them each in the forced journey as winter hits, one by one???

I can't imagine that kind of hardship... I can't imagine the cruelty of doing this to a widow. When she thought of ending her own life I didn't blame her. I mean imagine the heartache and loneliness.

But I was shocked when she finally came to the realization that what was left of her life on earth was a gift and that if she could just go on in faith she knew she would be able to not only see her husband again but with him raise the children on this earth in love and peace, never having to endure the sting of death again. She said knowing this made her the happiest person in all of Germany.

Wow! What we are going through right now in this country is really put into perspective. Times really are hard but not impossible. We are not yet as JOB. If you still have family and friends you indeed have more of a reason to be the happiest person in all of America!
