We had a great time at the school Spring Carnival!
This year was sooo easy. Zack and Ben were finally old enough to go off on their own while mom and I watched the younger 3. The kid at the top of the rock climbing is Zack. Zack and Ben did this like 20 times!
Abby and Grant were best friends and did EVERYTHING together!
Except for the rock wall. Grant was no dummy, Abbs got this far then looked down and started shaking and crying. Finally she trusted us enough to let go of the wall and ride the rope down. I took her like 15 minutes to get back to feeling ready again to go play.
Kaden wanted down sooo bad so we let him for a minute.
It was hard to get these shots as he would start beelining it towards me at the speed of light!! He crawls very fast now and also pulls up on everything!! He's only 7 months old!!
It started getting a bit cold but as you can see he was happy as a clam... if I held him... When we put him in the stroller he started shaking his head from side to side as if to say "no, no, no!"
Grandma got suckered into pushing the kids in the swings...
Then it was food time...
Zack's ribs cost $7.oo while Abby and I go5t the $5.00 pulled pork sandwich...
Here's what $5 bucks gets you... a sandwich FULL of bones!! This was bone #4!!

That's one of the many things I miss working at Houston Elementary is working at the carnival.
Food at carnivals is so overpriced. The experience is worth it though- kids make it fun.
PS when I was in 1st grade or kindergarten I remember being at a school carnival and buying a chip on a gambling style game sort of like craps or roulette. I put my chip on number 9. Then I waited patiently until the number nine won. Unfortunately it was about 20 minutes later, long after my chip had lost. Some poor teacher volunteer had to talk me down when I started crying because I didn't win a prize. Kids totally don't get that stuff.
Daaaang! That bone WAS massive! Did they advertise as boneless??? 'Cause if so, there's a slight problem, no? Haha.
