Lock down pt2
Well Zack is home now and this was what was on the districts home page about it.
G. P. S. Parent Alert Announcement 2008-2009 School Year December 10, 200812:55PM
G.P.S. was contacted by the Police Department to place (Our school) and (another Elementary) Schools under lockdown while they were investigating a suspicious person in the area. The Police Department resolved the situation and GPS was directed to release the students according to the normal early release schedule.
Did you see anything about a canal?
No,
Whatever....
We always get pieces and parts of the real deal but anyways,
At least my kids are home and safe.
But here's my question,
What kind of world do we live in where your kids can get locked in a school, indefinitely?

A PARANOID ONE!
(don't give me all the blah blah about safety being paramount, I already understand it, fully. My gripe is that it's for every hiccup and hang nail here. If you don't believe me click here.)

OMG I just had to deal with the same nonsense at work tonight. Only it was a blocked parking lot from a "bomb threat type issue". They never tell you ANYTHING and the whole time you are just waiting to get back to whatever it is you SHOULD be doing!
