Taking the Zoo to the Zoo!

I've been telling my kids for like a week now that we would go to the Zoo "Sometime". So today was finally an "ok let's go".First of all how cool is stingray bay? It was soooo awesome! It was way better than I thought. One actually jumped out of the water!This place was much larger than I thought it would be. It's new to the zoo, ok, new to me since I haven't been here in like 2 years.March is Amazing here! All the animals were out and upfront! The weather was perfect leaning toward almost too warm (like when I was going up a hill pushing the stroller...) The otters came right up to us.

Rino were... well, whatever they do, standing there Baby orangutangs were cute!

And the Tiger was totally alert.

This never would have happened in July, let me tell you. This was the most fun and active time for critters that I've ever seen. Well worth it, as long as you bring your lunch. I saw plain hotdogs were being sold for $5. Ouch!

After 3 1/2 hours at the zoo, we were bushed. Grant was so tired that when I asked him if he wanted to take off his shoes, go to the car and take a nap he laughed happily and said "YES!"
