pop quiz, one question.
Is mainstream media's depiction of morality acurately protray most people in the world.
Today in gospel doctrine class we explored this idea. So here is my 2 cents.
Gross generalizations about our society by everyone I encounter say this:
Most people in the world are immoral.
We know that for a citrus tree to yield good fruit in the winter it must have a lot of water in the summer. Even a somewhat minimal amount of water will still bring forth a fruit. Only when there is no water the plant starves and dies bringing forth nothing. I believe the world's people are yet seeing water ( if only minimal) on thier proverbial tree. Millions of people still view a lasting marriage as a desireable thing. (Even if it can't be achieved.) They still want to raise children of obediance and virtue. Though the water has been greatly lessened by acceptance of many immoral practices especially within our laws, there is still fruit to be found. There are many many people who view the bible as the word of God and instill this into thier children. Being healthy and happy are still desireable things. So yes thier intentions are still good. Are they heading on a road to destruction of thier own society? Yes, if the watering shrinks slowly and surely the plant will die. So, as a parent I cannot turn my back on this society. I urge you, for the sake of my own children, tothink outside the box of your own gross generalizations and see the good in people, find the good. Fight and stand to uphold the good and then your gossip will lessen and your charity of heart for all people will ensue. Never bend your convictions just so you won't offend anyone and for heaven sakes stop going out of your way to find people to judge or fight with. Isaiah said that people who walk in the sparks shall be consumed by the fire they created. There is a season to speak and a season to hold your tounge. I have truely gone through great consuming fires of soul searching to realize this:

Be slow to condemn them because only the Lord looks upon the heart and a soul is a VERY valuable thing to the Lord. Many people are offended by what tv has to offer and it can give us misinformation so, you really can't use it as your judge for the state of the world. If it teaches anything it ts you that you are powerless to stop evil. This is the greatest lie. Get outside! Meet your neighbors! Meet people that you wouldn't normally talk to and offer your guidance and phsycal help, Serve Them! When you see the immoral, the unguided and self-indulgent:
Pray for them. Keep your thoughts of hope for them contiually.
E. T. Sullivan once wrote these interesting words: “When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies” (quoted in The Treasure Chest, ed. Charles L. Wallis [1965], 53)
Let's take care of the children that are with in our influence and give them the morals that we see missing in our world.

"The end is near" is a phrase used by some to say that it's game over and there is nothing you can do about it. I believe it means that you should go a little faster and do alittle more with the short amount of time still left. How great shall be our joy if we can bring one mind some enlightenment and make just that one person happier than when we found them.
So I say, Good bad or other wise I am your sister and you are my brother. Lean on me.
.... (and) The world still produces fruit.
for now
